Dear Team,

Spring is in full swing, and as we move into the warmer months, it’s an exciting time for new initiatives at MBS. We’re pleased to share with you the second edition of our employee newsletter this year, filled with updates and stories from various branches.

In line with this fresh momentum, we’ve been actively enhancing different aspects of our business and market presence. As part of these efforts, we’re excited to announce a refresh to our corporate identity. The updated design, which can be found below, features more vibrant colors and a sleek, rounded shape. These changes reflect our commitment to innovation and staying ahead in a dynamic marketplace. Additionally, we recently unveiled a new brand for our Anytime time-critical logistics product.

Furthermore, we’ve been diligently optimising our internal organisation and implementing a new structure for our finance department.

Meanwhile, across our local offices, our teams have been hard at work bringing projects to fruition and have participated in numerous notable events. As always, in this edition, we’re also excited to welcome the new faces to our team and highlight individual milestones.

CORPORATE IDENTITY REFRESH

We’ve given our corporate identity a fresh, modern update, infusing new energy into our brand! The refreshed design features vibrant, new colors that symbolise our dynamic approach and commitment to staying ahead in today’s fast-paced market.

In tune with the digital era, our logo now sports smooth, rounded edges, enhancing its modern feel. Despite these changes, the core look and feel of our brand remains unchanged. It continues to proudly stand as a symbol of our unique, personal approach to logistics.

You can already see this new logo in action on our social media channels. To ensure a seamless transition, employees will be provided with updated corporate logo files by their local managers. We appreciate your support in using this logo across all future collateral and are excited to step into a bright future with our refreshed brand identity!

UPDATED STRUCTURE IN MBS HOLDING FINANCE DEPARTMENT

As of 1 April 2024, an updated structure has been introduced to the MBS Holding finance department. We are delighted to welcome Christian Adams as the new Group CFO. He assumes responsibility for finance, administration and reporting across all companies under the holding company’s umbrella. With his strong background in finance at well-known logistics companies, his expertise is anticipated to offer significant advantages to the Group.

In line with these changes, Arne Voshege now serves as Head of Administration and Management. His area of responsibility covers contracts, legal matters, insurance, claims, facility management and additional administrative tasks. In this role, he reports directly to Christian Adams. We extend our gratitude to Arne for his past contributions and dedication to our company, and we eagerly anticipate the positive impact he will make in this new role.

Furthermore, Max Moll steps into the role of Head of Controlling at MBS Holding. He will focus on improving our reporting and business management processes, directly reporting to Christian Adams.

This new structure in the finance department aims to improve efficiency, foster collaboration and optimise our financial operations. We look forward to moving into the future with this new team!

DÜSSELDORF BRANCH MANAGEMENT 

We are pleased to announce the Düsseldorf branch manager position has been filled internally. As of 1 April 2024, Dennis Olschewski took on an expanded leadership role, and he now oversees operations at both the Dortmund and Düsseldorf branches. We look forward to seeing the positive impact he will bring to both branches.

EVENT LOGISTICS FOR PROWEIN

Our teams from PORLOGIS Portugal and MBS Germany delivered successful logistics solutions for over 310 Portuguese wine producers at ProWein, a leading wine exhibition held in Düsseldorf in February. Managing the logistics of more than 22,500 bottles, our specialists coordinated every step ­– from preparation in the Porto warehouse to seamless delivery in Düsseldorf. The efficient planning and execution ensured the event ran smoothly, showcasing the skills of our Portuguese and German teams in facilitating key logistics for one of the wine industry’s biggest events. Cheers to our colleagues!

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

On International Women’s Day, we were proud to celebrate the self-confident, strong and remarkable women in our team. Our social media campaign highlighted experiences and advice from several women in our team, placing a spotlight on the importance of diversity in our industry. Check it out!

WCA DUBAI 2024

Our team had a successful time at WCAworld Dubai in February! With over 4,000 delegates, this year’s event was the largest freight forwarder conference in the world. Throughout the conference, our team was able to make new connections and catch up with industry friends and partners.

LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS

Our colleagues in Asia rang in the Lunar New Year in February with great enthusiasm and festivities. Every year on the first working day following the holiday period, our Xiamen branch hosts the “Rolling in Wealth” event. This unique tradition symbolises ushering in of prosperity and success for the coming year. It serves as a meaningful gathering that unites our teams, strengthening our sense of community and fostering optimism for what lies ahead. Here’s to a year filled with prosperity and success for everyone!

CANDLE DONATION FOR PEACE

Marking the two-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, MBS joined forces with other organisations to support the Colonia Kochkunstverein’s initiative: Placing a 3.7-meter candle in the Cologne Cathedral. This candle symbolises a collective stance against war, violence and discrimination. By supporting this project alongside other sponsors, we communicate our commitment to fostering unity and mutual respect among all nations. Together, we shine a light on peace and love, showing the world darkness has no place here.
