Dear Colleagues,
We’re excited to bring you a new edition of our MBS Newsletter – filled with inspiring stories, standout moments and the milestones we’ve achieved together as a team.
Logistics is a fast-paced world, and it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day. That’s why it’s so valuable to pause and reflect on the journeys we’ve taken – the projects we’ve managed, the dedication of our people and the progress we continue to make together.
This newsletter isn’t just about updates – it’s about connection. Behind every shipment, every project and every number are the incredible individuals who give their best each and every day. That’s what we want to celebrate here. Because at MBS, we believe in one simple truth: Logistics, made personal.
We hope you enjoy reading – and as always, we’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
Warm regards
Joerg Roehl and Daniel Steckel

Female power at MBS
Logistics has traditionally been a male-dominated industry – but that’s changing, thanks to the expertise, dedication and leadership of women across all areas of our company. At MBS Logistics, diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity are key priorities. Yet, we know that true equality is still a work in progress.
International Women’s Day 2025, celebrated on 8 March, was a call to action: to challenge stereotypes, promote inclusive workplaces, and create more opportunities for women in logistics. It was also an opportunity to say thank you to our female colleagues: for their hard work, expertise, and commitment. You don’t just drive our company forward, you help shape an industry that keeps the world moving.
Let’s keep going – together, we can achieve even more.
MBS Supports volleyball team in Löhne

This season, the second men’s volleyball team of TuRa Löhne is taking to the court in jerseys branded with the MBS logo. When our long-time customer, Hela Tische Möbel Vertriebs GmbH, asked if we would sponsor a local volleyball team, our answer was clear: absolutely!
As a company that values partnership and community engagement, we’re proud to support a sport where finding sponsors is becoming increasingly challenging. Our colleagues from Hamburg, Arne Hain and Carsten Feldkamp, personally delivered the new jerseys and were warmly welcomed by the team.

KölleAlarm: responsible celebrations in Cologne

A big party for kids and teens during Cologne’s carnival without alcohol or trouble, that’s what the non-profit KölleAlarm has stood for since 2006. Beyond carnival, KölleAlarm is committed to year-round to promoting cultural traditions, sports and alcohol prevention.
For us, community engagement is more than just a duty, it’s part of who we are. That’s why MBS Logistics supports KölleAlarm and was honoured with the KölleAlarm Award in recognition of this commitment. Jörg Ziepke, Team Leader of IT Services, accepted the award on our behalf.
We thank the KölleAlarm team for their dedication and are proud to continue supporting their mission. As a true Cologne company, we know that celebration and responsibility go hand in hand!

Milestone anniversaries: Hamburg and Munich celebrate success

Two locations, two major milestones – this year, MBS Logistics has double the reason to celebrate!
20 years of MBS Hamburg: a global logistics hub
For two decades, our Hamburg branch has been a cornerstone of global logistics. What began as a small office in 2005 has evolved into a key hub for international supply chain solutions, with a strong emphasis on sea freight. Connecting markets, streamlining goods flows, and ensuring seamless logistics across continents, MBS Hamburg continues to drive our success.
10 years of MBS Munich: a stronghold of xxcellence
Munich, too, has reason to celebrate: For ten years, our Bavarian branch has set new standards. With a dedicated team of 17 professionals, MBS Munich plays a vital role in the success of our entire group – powered by expertise, passion, and a clear vision for growth.
We proudly congratulate our teams in Hamburg and Munich on these incredible milestones! Thank you for your dedication, loyalty, and unwavering commitment. Here’s to many more years of success!

Events
Kölle Alaaf!

What do logistics and carnival have in common? The best things happen when we join forces! Once again this year, we proudly embraced our Cologne roots by celebrating carnival, a season of joy, togetherness and tradition. That’s why we spent Rose Monday with our amazing colleagues, partner and customers.
Carnival stands for openness, diversity and shared experiences. It’s a time when people from all walks of life come together, break down barriers, and celebrate community. The same is true in logistics, where collaboration and global connections are key.
Whether it’s carnival or logistics, strong partnerships, trust and a shared vision for the future make all the difference. Our philosophy: teamwork and unity are the foundation of sustainable success.
Here’s to the MBS family, our partners and customers: cheers to many more shared projects and successes!

MBS at the WCA Conference in Dubai

Expanding partnerships, sharing ideas and actively shaping the future of global logistics, that was our mission at the 14th WCA Worldwide Conference in Dubai at the end of February 2025. Our stand provided the perfect space for meaningful conversations, exploring new business opportunities and strengthening existing partnerships.
At MBS Logistics, a personal approach is at the heart of what we do. We focus on flexible, tailor-made and global logistics solutions built on trust and collaboration. The conference gave us the chance to showcase this commitment and build new connections for the future.
“Logistics, made personal” is more than a slogan: it’s our philosophy and the way we do business. We’re already looking forward to the next WCA Conference in Singapore in 2026 – to new encounters, inspiring conversations, and expanding our global partnerships.

Shoveling for prosperity in China
On the first working day after the Chinese New Year in early February, our colleagues in Xiamen took part in the traditional “Shovel Money” game. Blindfolded, they tried to scoop as much money as possible onto a plate using a shovel or ladle. It’s believed that those who succeed will enjoy prosperity in the coming year. But just as important was the fun of the game, as our photos clearly show!
On the hunt for talent: apprentice speed-dating in Düsseldorf
At the IHK Düsseldorf’s Apprentice Speed-Dating event in February 2025 at the Merkur Spielarena, we had inspiring conversations with motivated young talents. Erdi Bor and Daniela Schumacher presented the diverse career opportunities at MBS Logistics, highlighting our strong team spirit, exciting roles and comprehensive training and development programmes.
The event was a great opportunity to connect with future talent, discover potential and inspire young people to start their careers with MBS. We look forward to receiving applications and supporting new talents on their career journeys—in a company that not only challenges but also empowers its people.
